The CIIMAR – Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research – is a research and advanced training institution in Porto that was one of the locations for field trials of Hexsor’s mobile filtration unit (FLT-100). In partnership with a UK-based company and researchers from The Marine Biological Association (MBA). FLT-100 was deployed 2 months ago to our client MBA for the real-time assessment of environmental DNA and toxin type, distribution and concentration, and to ensure a productive, safe, and sustainable blue food economy going forward.
The mobile filtration solution we developed for our client has been tested rigorously over the last few months. Over the next few weeks, our solution will remain in Europe while our client tests it.
“We commissioned Hexsor to produce a device that would automate a manual filtration unit that utilized hollow fibre filters as part of an EU project. They produce our device in a timely fashion and for the most part to our specifications. Minor alterations were made in a timely fashion and to our satisfaction. Laboratory tests showed that the device that they produced exceeded our expectations, performing better and more efficiently than the manual version of the same filtration unit. We look forward to bringing our device to the scientific market because we feel that this filtration unit will revolutionise environmental sampling and we are pleased that Hexsor has enabled us to fulfil this major scientific achievement.”
Once again, Hexsor Scientific has done it!
We would be happy to set up an exploratory call with you if you would like more information about our FLT-100 Mobile Filtration System.
