Athens is a city of rich history, fine food, and vibrant culture; home to over four million people and, for several days in November, home too to Hexsor’s Dr Jeyan Sreekumar, who was in the capital to commission our mass spectrometer solution in collaboration with a UK company for a first Greek client.
Both the unit and a portable MS Power Bank developed by Hexsor Scientific were successfully delivered to the client, who intends to deploy them for the detection of volatile substances for food safety and security, including those emitted by people trapped by building collapse, or other natural disasters – an application which renders our technology as lifesaving in a very direct way, and one that we are immensely proud to be associated with.
With two full days spend undertaking commissioning and training, the remainder of the trip offered opportunity to further develop Hexsor’s presence in Greece. Supported by the country’s leading technology transfer and innovation support organisation, Dr Sreekumar enjoyed exploratory discussions with a number of key stakeholder from the oil and gas, maritime, energy and wastewater sectors.
With one extremely satisfied client under our belt, and several promising new opportunities on the horizon, it seems certain that, in a country as storied as Greece, Hexsor’s story is only just beginning
