HEXSOR DELIVERS ITS VISION FOR A SAFER FUTURE TO LIVERPOOL SCHOOL OF TROPICAL MEDICINE

Hexsor’s innovative sensing technologies can be adapted for use across a very wide range of applications, and recent discussions with Liverpool’s School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) suggest that we may soon be able to add one more to an already extensive list: rapid detection of active COVID-19 infection.

Earlier this year, Hexsor was contacted by LSTM to explore potential opportunities for collaboration within its diagnostic COVID-19 research pipeline as a part of ERDF program. Having enjoyed previous success in infectious disease detection, the Hexsor Team was thrilled at having been approached to work on such an important application by experts from the School, which serves as an international centre of excellence devoted to reducing or eliminating the impact of disease upon the world’s poorest people.

Hexsor was recently invited to showcase its innovative technology to a range of experts at the LSTM Knowledge Transfer Hub. Outlining our vision around the future healthcare applications of our technologies, the event generated a great deal of interest and excitement among attendees, and the Hexsor team is confident that, going forward, we will be able to support LSTM in overcoming the significant challenges posed by the COVID pandemic. Working alongside a world-leading local partner such as the LSTM presents exciting new opportunities to develop technological solutions to improve health and well being globally, a goal that we at Hexsor are working hard to make a reality.
