At Hexsor Scientific, we’re shaping the future of smart environmental monitoring.
It’s been a busy and inspiring week at Hexsor Scientific Canada Inc., as our team works closely with the talented researchers at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) to advance our Tier 2 PVIP project, proudly supported by Invest Nova Scotia.
Building on the success of our Tier 1 collaboration, where we developed a real-time water monitoring platform, we’re now taking a significant step forward.
Under Tier 2 PVIP, we’re integrating our proven sensing platform with Aqualight™ — an AI-powered visualization and remote sensing tool — to deliver dual-layer environmental insights. This innovative combination merges in-situ molecular data with real-time visual analytics, enabling a comprehensive solution for the early detection of algal blooms, oil spills, and other ecological anomalies across marine and freshwater environments.
This initiative directly responds to the growing need for autonomous, intelligent, and Industry 4.0–aligned environmental sensing systems. Through our collaboration with NSCC’s Engineered Technologies Applied Research Lab, we’re leveraging expertise in sensor integration, embedded systems, and environmental technologies to prototype, test, and validate this advanced system.
We’re incredibly proud of the progress achieved so far — and we’re excited to move into field testing in the coming months.
A heartfelt thank you to our partners, collaborators, and supporters who continue to believe in our mission to make environmental monitoring smarter, faster, and greener.
